This was always destined, wasn’t it? DE was fated to either have its team torn apart by its resounding success, or its success was going to force it into being a commercial product.

This is probably the best outcome if there’s never a sequel or goofy Amazon show. DE can exist as it is on its own terms. It’s a lightning in a bottle game and it’s a miracle it exists in the first place.

My guess until there is some kind of investigative report on this is that suddenly having a ton of money fucked everything up. Wouldn’t be the first time.
