Honestly this is the only podcast that has been announced recently that I’m actually excited by. If you’re coming from the world of politics to start a podcast, you really also need a more entertainment focused co-host.
I kinda want to hate listen but I don’t think it will be as funny in real life as it is in my head.
Politicians don’t make good entertainers in the same way entertainers make good politicians.
the left has yet to have their own joe rogan experience. could this be it? also love that their first episode is released on 9/11 lmao.
I listened, it was pretty lib. Plus I don’t know if their rapport was really that great? Of course that could improve over time. Maybe I’ll try it again at some point? I dunno. Seems like society has evolved past the need for yet another lib electoralism podcast.
I think they are trying to make this a big tent left podcast, kind of like the DSA of podcasts. I think I saw that Sean KB from the antifada, who is basically an ultra, is in the next ep.
But like the DSA, there probably won’t be any attempt to resolve the contradictions in the political ideologies and will revert to just platforming socdems for state house races.
A podcast hosted by social Democrats that only interviews people to their left would be an actual interesting podcast though.
