No you don’t. What you’re actually remembering is a lie told by police to justify an expansion of the war on the drugs and increased police funding. In reality, the guy wasn’t on anything. He was sober with trace amounts of weed in his system.
:wonder-who-thats-for:
he was sober
Oh, jolly! Well my fears have been laid to rest. I don’t know the context, but know I know there was a sober guy eating another person’s face off! Time for bed :sleepi:
Did he really eat someone’s face or was that another lie?
Both men were unhoused. One “chewed on” the others’ face. I haven’t seen any indication as to whether the bite(s) broke flesh or actually tore any away. The toxicology report indicated nothing except weed in his system.
Ah yeah I was looking at coverage from later on that was talking about the incident in retrospect. I’ve been purposefully avoiding gore for personal reasons so I guess it makes sense I’d miss that.
Weird. I saw several reports that they were both unhoused. Maybe I misunderstood something.
Recovering addict chiming in to say that I hate the way shit is just labeled as “bath salts.”
Please know what you are putting into your body.
If anyone else who has had substance problems reads this, and needs an ear, my DMs sre always open. Sounds like some reddit bullshit, I know, but I am here for you as best I can be.
I made some minor edits to the post so hopefully it’s less ambiguous and not perpetuating any unhealthy attitudes. Hope you’re doing alright as well. Hadn’t considered it might be triggering for some folks.
And fwiw, if it “sounds like some Reddit bullshit,” that’s only because it’s usually used there as a way to assuage the guilt of the person posting it. I know that if I needed to message you you would legitimately listen and try to help. And that’s appreciated.
I was in school at the time and distinctly remember that the two airsoft kids I knew were vibrating with excitement about the zombie apocalypse, both are now open fascists.
This is somehow less upsetting than finding out that Peter Gabriel was sober when he wrote The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway.
