:back-to-me:
the Democratic Sinematic Universe folks
It makes sense. She can’t win a Dem primary, but she can run as an independent and split votes if a Dem also runs, so the DNC will naturally give up as it is wont to do
Democrats’ choices are: let an extremely unpopular “independent” run unopposed and probably lose to a Republican or turn it into a three-way race where the Republican might still win.
Nobody likes Sinema. The assumption Democrats and left-leaning independents will turn out and vote for her out of necessity is flawed. She’s going to be dead weight on the ticket one way or another.
Better to rip the bandage off while they have a majority in the senate.
Are they doing this because they got 51 seats?
Bought and paid for. You can’t tell me that the Democratic Party did not know who this person was when she was nominated.
She will run again as an incumbent independent to split the vote so a Republican can win.
