One of the most common “facts” about the DDR I always heard about growing up was how the state forced their female athletes to take so much experimental male hormones that they turned into monstrous ogres. Presumably it looked exactly like Ivan Drago’s training montage from Rocky IV

I literally made this same post just a few days ago because I detected the same thing as you. The game is 99% anime/video game homage, and the 1% of original things it has to say is “communism bad”
Yeah, I found it very strange that both the Eusan Empire AND the Eusan Revolutionary Republic use Red/Yellow soviet style iconography, and yet both nations are portrayed as clownishly evil, so I guess the writers be like, “Lol both sides”? :maybe-later-kiddo:
