They’re honestly a great example of how chill the mods have got over time lol. They’re single handedly responsible for more struggle sessions and toxic behavior than half the wreckers and still haven’t been banned, a year ago they would have got popped after like the second 300 comment lib nonsense post
what reason do they have to disengage when you are bringing it to another post entirely? do you really not see or accept your own role in this conflict or are you trying to justify shitty behavior?
I didn’t even make this post for them lol. As can be seen by the many comments from before they invaded, there are many people here who’ve expressed similar experiences with boomers.
A lot of the time, people just want to feel listened to and heard, or they want to feel important.
I have found a decent middle path by mostly engaging with people on their areas of expertise, which could be car shit, could be relationship stuff, etc. Then, people want to be listened to as well, they want to feel like they’re an important part of your life, so I’ll just sit there and listen to them tell (often) the same stories and give the same advice as before. Just comes with the give and take of relationships and meeting people where they’re at imo.
Sometimes, the “advice” is really a shift in perspective, which can be really helpful if you’re stuck or overwhelmed. Just in my experience; everyone’s life is different.
