2036, with an election, but not because of the election
Seems like enough time for the faltering start of a new socialist movement to start making its first real wins, grow to true relevancy, then grow into power. I know the projects I’m involved in need 10 years or so.
Don’t know if we actually have that long, but I don’t have quicker plans that aren’t wishful thinking.
Purely from an outsider’s perspective, I do not think you lads are ever going to see that unless a literal societal collapse takes places and you are able to build around socialism from the ground up. Imagine trying to carve a sculpture out of a trunk that is completely rotten to its core–not going to happen.

I am gonna go full lib. We are not going to beat capitlaism untill we make a new manufacuring paradigm.
My money is on carbon-nanofacture. When people can make stuff easily without captialism to organize the raw materials then people will havw sufficient power to ignore capitlaism.
Nah, it looks like the avaible energy for action at a small scale is real small. So if we can make self sustaining grey goo, we will have developed tech way more effiecent that can handle it. So we’d be able to have some psudo goo that we could use as a goo supressor.
A more pertinent peoblem would be if instead of the grey goo scenario, we just make it real shitty and the stuff gives you cancer
