Worth it?
Warm soda:kombucha-disgust:
You haven’t lived until you’ve had a mug of Hot Dr. Pepper
i have actually tried this with a friend after we heard this was a thing. absolutely disgusting
As much as I enjoy the patented 23 flavors of Dr. Pepper… Yeah, it was pretty awful
the concorde was literally discontinued bc the cabin space was so small that luxury travel wasnt feasible. we could be taking 3 hr flights from nyc to london, but porky doesnt profit as much from that
also supersonic travel is only for transoceanic flights bc these planes cause sonic booms everywhere they go and travelling over land would annoy everyone. but nobody asks how it affects ocean life :thinking-about-it:
I mean we are past the point of asking ocean life anything. Sonic booms are no more damaging than some of the radar ships use. Sonar is way worse for everything. And shipping just kills anything that crosses its path. Ocean life is fucked by us trying to cross.
Even if the cabin space was there, it wouldn’t much matter. You could have the space for typical international businesses class amenities, but nobody would pay that premium for a three hour flight. I’ve been on approximately 20 transatlantic flights in my life, and about half of them in business class (not my dime) and about half in coach. If I had the scratch, I’d probably pay for business class, because being crammed into coach at my height isn’t great for my back. But if we’re talking a $1500 per ticket premium for a 3.5 hour flight there’s no way. That’s why domestic first class these days is just a wide seat with some extra legroom, a box of snacks and a beer.
:brand-eternal:
