Yeah I read it was 2.5k which is still absurd for a mostly luxury item. Even a flagship smartphone cost 1/3 of that.
It feels so ridiculous that I wouldn’t be surprised if he staged this whole thing to try and get people to focus on the watch instead of what he was actually saying.

Macron is a Neoliberal ghoul and there’s lots of good reasons to mock him. I’m just not sure the fact that he was the victim of sexual grooming as a minor is one of those good reasons.
