Do not become addicted to the water. You will grow to resent it’s absence

How can they predict the water will stay potable until a certain point? How about advising people right the fuck now that the water shouldn’t be drank at all?

Philadelphians can have a sip of water, as a treat

They know how long it takes for whatever water they treat to be consumed, so they know how long they can delay taking in new water to treat. I think they’re hoping they can just use what is in the system until the contamination passes or is diluted enough to be safe

I can’t wait for Biden to come to Philly and pretend to drink the water!

This can only improve Liam’s takes if he drinks enough of it

after living in and around communities with poor access to drinkable water (sometimes due to municipal mismanagement and “unprecedented” disaster on top of historic poverty), i got in the habit of buying legit water containers and devoting like a third of my fridge volume to storing tap water. i would tell people it’s like a thermal mass to cut down on energy usage or that i like water cold, but it’s really about paranoia: i want to always have like 3-5 gallons of drinkable water in case of some shit like this. if i told someone that 10 years ago, they would think i was nuts. probably less so today.

i wonder if urbanized people in normal developed countries do shit like this.

Rules:

-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --

-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --
