I think it’s inspiring as an act, not as something that will necessarily be stable. I don’t see them sticking with this very long. It’s just a hard format with this number of viewers. Hope to be wrong about that.
But I think it is important to show even as an example “hey look at what news could look like or sound like”
One criticism I have about it is that the stories are per “day” and not topic, and so it would be hard to recall and share a clip from an episode in a few months. While CNBC etc often split their videos by story. So the lasting value of the videos is lessened I think.
I don’t know how much of an audience the boys will reach but I’m really glad they’re doing this, because I’m not very good at keeping up with the news.
