Post Soviet countries (and China) have some of the highest rates of home ownership in the world too. And I don’t know the proportion but a lot of those don’t have mortgages either, the state just gives you the house/apartment.

Similarly, to this day many post-soviet countries basically have no gender gap for engineering / STEM studies in general (it’s basically 50% women or more, like 57% in Lithuania). Thanks to the USSR.
