bobby hill is probably the best mainstream american animation character

i think the show is really good in general tho. obviously, there are some problematic episodes that have aged super poorly but it depicts america more accurately than a lot of other shows and does a great job satirizing it. it is like peak centrist political commentary though but that is sort of how mike judge shows work. having any unusual opinion or fighting for any big cause means you are either annoying, weird, or misguided. south park is a big one guilty of this too and much worse in that regard than koth imo but nevertheless, that is probably the strongest nonsatirical underlying ideological political commentary koth gives or arguably promotes. which is bad but it is still a very easy show to enjoy even with acknowledging these issues.

I’ve never really liked it. I find the animation style hard to look at for the length of an episode - I feel the same way about the Simpsons though that one is a lot worse.

It’s one of the most honest depictions of the USA by way of focusing on the wierd shit.
