As an AFAB I can’t tell you how many times I got the “Most woman don’t care about womans rights” talk from the men in my life. They will try to make you feel crazy. This is why I get so fucked off when people say things like “why does she put up with that?!” she puts up with it because growing up female is like being brainwashed into a cult. You’re made to feel stupid and hysterical for speaking up.

Often this is sadly true (41% of American women identify as ‘pro life’ for instance) and I think it’s because, as you said:

I’ve literally had young women tell me unprompted that they identify as “Anti feminist”, as if I’d be impressed by it or some bs. I know plenty of young women that go to chuches that I know have sexist beliefs.

Recently found out about r/truerateme and it’s pretty much the worst thing ever. Basically you’re not allowed to rate anyone lower than 3 or higher than 6.9 because or you’ll get banned for over/under rating because it’s supposed to be “objective” and follow a “normal distribution”. They also have a rating guide with all the features and stuff and you’re supposed to follow that so you have a bunch of people going on about negative canthal tilt or whatever.
