There is a lot to be said about the transphobia all cis people perpetuate, the biphobia not-bi people perpetuate and internalized transphobia trans people direct against others. But calling this a “hierarchy” is cringe and not how it works. Lesbians and gays don’t oppress all the other BT people, geez. “Binary” trans people don’t oppress nonbinary people.

There’s just no fucking “hierarchy” lmao. Again, that’s bullshit and not how it works. You can’t seriously be concerned about a “fragmented” LGBT community and then say that type of bs. “Lesbians and gays perpetuate biphobia” doesn’t mean “lesbians and gays are above bi people in a hierarchy”. “Some binary trans people perpetuate transphobia” doesn’t mean "Binary trans people are above nonbinary people in a hierarchy ". That’s not how “hierarchies” work or mean.

It’s very reminiscent of the immigrant experience in America. New emerging immigrant groups in America cause the prior group to suddenly be accepted and considered “white” so that they can have a turn oppressing newcomers. It’s all fueled by the capitalist to prevent class solidarity and to divide us.
True, though notably this was not extended to Asian Americans, which instead have been ideologically configured as eternal foreigners tied to the countries of their heritage who cannot be assimilated (see: Japanese internment and Covid hate crimes against people presumed to be Chinese American)
They’re used sometimes as a “model minority” to shame African Americans for not doing as well financially. Look at how chuds worship “rooftop Koreans”. They’re never accepted but they’re constantly used as tools to divide marginalized groups
I remember reading in a history textbook that Europeans considered Asians “smart but docile,” which may explain this pattern. Asians are the “least likely” to get “uppity” and instead play within the system that’s imposed on them.
If you know anything about Asian history (eg. Alexander in India, Korean War, Vietnam), you know this is ridiculous. Yet these are the stereotypes that get pushed around.
I’ve had similar experiences with being bi/gay and not getting along with other gay/bi dudes, and having trouble finding people who don’t perceive and treat me weirdly when it comes to dating. Once I finally found one of two people who weren’t like that, I found a ton of other people also not like that through them, and now I no longer feel alienated like that. I suspect you may have a similar experience if you keep at it. Once you start to find the right kind of people, you find a lot of them.

it’s so fucking exhausting to just see transphobia everywhere. it’s just a legitimate bigotry to cis people and i have to live with that for the next decade as i descend into loneliness, i guess
