Fuck it, history of the world, just produced by Chinese citizens with an eye towards worldwide public consumption. Sort of like the BBC produces. They do, but it gets deplatformed pretty quickly. There’s one called 起底工作室 China Unlocked, produced by China Daily that puts out short vids about China issues, usually media spats or hot topics.
They were recently ‘deboonked’ as fake news for using software to smooth out and de-accent (well, ‘correctly’ accent) their speech.
Their speech? Like changing how it sounds in post processing?

Yep, so one of the two hosts’ un-edited English is Chinese-accented. Perfectly fine and understandable. But their producers applied an accent filter over the top to smooth out pauses and give it a slight British accent, presumably to make it more intelligible for overseas audience. The other host has a slightly American accent post-editing but I don’t know if she spoke differently before.
The articles attacking the studio were completely proportionate and said stuff like they’re creating ‘AI propaganda’.
