You know when I posted that comment I thought the homophobia was a known thing around here, and was instead just critiquing how shit the goal is and how it won’t accommplish anything. But after seeing the comment thread here… Apparently I shouldn’t have made that assumption

If I’m off base here, please let me know, but I think they were making a distinction between taking over a hateful place with gay pride, and turning gay people into an object to humiliate people with. I haven’t been following the thing on Reddit too closely so I can’t say for sure if it ever began with the former though.

Listen, penndragon. Calling the proud boys gay is not an extension of “gay pride and all that shit”. It’s not those silly gays at it again, it’s not a cute joke that gay people started. It’s just a homophobic joke and it does not epically own the proud boys.
