I prefer Rarity violates the NAP
Obviously this is cringe af, but the comments here make me kinda sad. I haven’t seen it in years but back in college my whole physics department was into it so I watched it, and I enjoyed it, it’s fun and wholesome and well-written, they wanted to make it enjoyable to an adult audience so that parents wouldn’t mind watching it too. I feel like a lot of people just assume its a sex thing (obviously it is for some people, but not everyone) because of a latent assumption that it’s weird for men to have an interest in anything feminine. Almost similar to the mentality behind tropes about trans women trying to perv in bathrooms, though ofc I don’t mean to equate the two.
It’s not really a big deal I guess. Just don’t see why we gotta shit on people for liking things.
Agreed! I watched one or two episodes for the lulz when I found out about Bronies (and because I had seen the earlier series as a kid) and came away with the same impression - it’s super wholesome and would be fun to watch with children. Internet culture certainly takes it too far (like it does everything), but there’s a healthy way to like MLP.
I think every brony I’ve met first watched the show because they wanted to figure out what the deal was with bronies and then got hooked.

Jesus, what are the top 7?
If you were a brony in 2012-13 there’s a solid chance you’ve come out as either fash or trans by now.
