Hillary would be the most strict, cantankerous homework cannons of a teacher at the school. Bernie would give just as much homework but would stay way past his office hours to help you with it.
Ok, libs, here’s the deal and I’m gonna tell ya: the defining feature of how liberals interface with politicians isn’t on the basis of ideology or applied values or a beneficial calculus, it’s their fucking parasocial relationships with political figures that literally don’t know they exist. Like, at least of half of the dumb twitter lib shit I see get posted here is a person who’s slowly losing touch with reality and having a one-sided relationship with some fucking elite that they really want to like them. That’s it. That’s all it ever is. Just the aftereffects of alienation melting someone’s brain until they conceive of all political candidates and celebrities in terms of an imagined relationship.
This is why they love AOC but hate Bernie. And I hate to admit it, but it probably the better political actor in the dreadful bourgeois system that we have.
r/AOC has 52k subscribers and it’s moderately active if once of the posts trends. it’s like 80% random libs posting and 20% “progressives”.
and by random libs, mean i do see a few r/VoteBlue or r/politics posters, but it’s mostly just completely fucking random interest subs they have been commenting in.
I once had a professor who said at the first class, “You paid to hear me talk, not the 20 year old sitting next to you. That is why my class will always be a 50 minute lecture, and I will not be asking for your opinions.”
He was one of the best teachers I ever had.
But it’s very fair to say that I’d rather hear the Shakespeare scholar’s take on Elizabethan theater than the thoughts of a 20 year old college student.
classes where the professor sounds like they just snorted a few lines before lecturing are objectively the best
I had a philosophy class with a professor who said he was an anarchist in the first few minutes, and who spent the semester showing how capitalism fails to clear the most basic hurdles in just about every ethical framework.
I think this is probably true, but Bernie’s yelling would actually have been an engaging lecture and not some adult baby make-work project she gets going in the first 5 minues before throwing on a movie, cutting the lights, and popping open a bottle of chardonnay.
I’ve said it before, but liberals biggest criticisms of Bernie are things they imagine him doing.
