To play the devil’s advocate, maybe so much humility signifies that the situation in the DPRK is getting really dire and the government is fearing it will lose the confidence of the population and may even face riots… Then again, having survived literal mass famine in the 90s and not gotten swept away by popular discontent means no matter how bad the situation might be now, it’s still probably nowhere near that. Does anyone have any reliable info on the current situation in the DRPK? Are they getting mass assistance from China to fight the pandemic or have they pretty much been left to their own devices?

AFAIK the united press, like the associated press, is an imperialist source, so if they’re saying good things then i guess things must be ok
