It’s really sick. Modern war dogs tend to lose their canines biting police victims or occupied civilians so cops and soldiers will replace their canine teeth with titanium implants, sometimes pre-emptively.
Then when the dogs get too old some pig takes it home as a pet and this dog that’s been trained to be a war beast inevitably mauls their niece or whatever.

Then imagine that you’re the type of person who decides to “solve” this, not by looking into why your dog weapon is used so often that its’ teeth are worn down, nor are you the person that thinks your companion weapon deserves to retire after long years of hard work. Instead you are the type of person who decides to surgically alter your canine colleague weapon, so you can force it to attack more people suspects.
