It has zero encryption, more often than not requires your phone number, never deletes your old messages if you delete your account, uploaded files are stored basically forever, all your messages are scanned and indexed, etc. Take a look here:

Discord and privacy friendly don’t mix. They absolutely collect your data and scan what you write. Have a look at their settings.
