So when people go to Greenland its tradition to get a tupilak as a souvenir, this developing from the practise of traders and missionaries of bringing them home from their trips (Also they look neat). However a tupilak is, religiously, an item into which you place a demon to wreak vengeance in your name. (Also they were traditionally made from animal parts, or bits of the human who was to be avenged, rather than the much prettier horn and teeth they are now made from)
