So as someone who once got harassed by the CTH crew before I even knew who the fuck they were, they have a contingent of Weird Twitter that seems to suckle pretty hard at the r/stupidpol teat. In particular, I had a Southern Catholic lesbian hound me, who I later found to be insanely transphobic. She was apparently close to Felix. They used the n-word openly, and said some weird and nasty things. There’s a small group that are absolutely horrid little shits, and the hosts are aware of them but pretend like they don’t exist. And as I saw with my harasser and Felix, they’re even friendly to each other.
But Gwen’s still a goddamn idiot.
Yeah, I’m sure there’s plenty of legit criticism you could levy at the Chapo hosts and the broader fanbase, but “racist and misogynist” isn’t how I’d characterise either.
I’ve listened to most episodes and I can’t think of a time where Matt even mentions race or gender, let alone in a bad light.
