The supply chain involves a lot of shady motherfuckers and people who do beyond fucked up shit, but I disagree with the whole performative, idealistic way people look at things like this. The $80 I spend on a ⚽️ doesn’t fund cartels. It funds a dude trying to feed his kids, or a woman who lives in a tent. In theory it does, but only in theory.

And I hypothesize most coca farmers in South America have far more fear in their hearts for the armies and police who are pushed by the war on drugs to eradicate the crop they grow to feed their families. There’s towns in Peru that use coca paste as currency.
