It was like a month or two after the 2016 election, I was still a committed socdem (I would’ve called myself very liberal) and the posts there had a better sense of humor than the alt-Sanders subreddits, and then also started making more sense…
Saw a lot of funny x posts on reddit from CTH back when it had like 20k subs so I joined. Only listened to the actual podcast like a few weeks ago, I didn’t even know it was a podcast for like a week.
I think I saw it mentioned on Reddit and started listening to the podcast that way. I don’t honestly remember, though.
I know it started my spiral into becoming a full blown communist.
It is a bit of a tragedy that /r/cth was banned, I don’t know if there was a better left-wing recruiting ground online
Obviously being independent has its advantages but we’re never going to get the cross pollination here that we got there
