Vaush was always trash, but I’ll always respect Moore given how long he was wondering in the wilderness trying to build back the left from nothing, even if he’s a lib.
I’ll never get how Vaush is so popular. When I was hoping the left would build up a robust online media network, For some reason I was under the impression that wouldn’t be a “monkey’s paw curls” situation.
It’s not really a monkey’s paw situation, Vaush is popular because he is mind-numbing and unchallenging of liberal norms, so therefore he is incredibly digestible. It’s tough to be a marxist, let alone an anti-imperialist, abandon socdem ideas, etc; but once you do it, it’s liberating. Folks don’t want to be liberated, they just want to sniff their own farts and think they have the moral high ground.
