Motivation is a huge factor and seeing victories (even when they’re not really achieving something that leads anywhere) is motivating.

The idea that antifa was a structured international terrorist organization funded by George Soros stems from a law enforcement conference in Germany where a now-disgraced fascist head of federal police told a bunch of international cops about it. All the higher up cops know it’s bullshit but they want their beat cops and detectives to believe it because it suits their interests.
