Literally the post above this is calling out all the anarchists who totally exist that are doing the CIAs bidding by hoping for war with China.
Struggle content was not uncommon on the subreddit. The struggle goes both ways.
There’s currently a massive struggle going on because America is pointing the imperialist machine at China and people are pushing for anti-imperialism. This is causing elevated struggle.
It wouldn’t be happening if the machine were pointed at Bolivia for example. It’s happening because of the current circumstances. I think people are right to be pushing anti-imperialism regardless of the target, if imperialism is the highest form of capitalism then anti-imperialism is the highest form of class struggle. To refuse to engage in that is to not be taking part in modern class struggle.

I think one of the strong points of the old sub was how meme-posting could open the door to substantive political discussions. I think for a number of people, the sub was an introduction to somewhat coherent explanations of socialist ideas.

Shitting on Libs was a Chapo pastime. Radlibs and SucDems were generally more common on Chapo than criticism of them, though their was a fair amount of that.
Those who constantly just engaged in Anarchist-Tankie shit flinging were generally pretty small. Most people just wanted a far-left space and didn’t care about the exact ideology.
