idk why, but caffeine doesn’t really do anything to/for me. i tend not to get addicted to things very easily in general. when i drink a lot of tea sometimes i notice a very minor effect on anxiety, but other than that, nothing.

fun fact caffeine doesnt actually give you energy. What it does is it makes you tired all the time, and then when you drink it it temporarily takes away your permanent exhaustion which gives the appearance of it giving you energy but actually does the opposite. It’s fun that it’s legal! It’s very cool that basically our entire species is addicted to basically day-time sleeping pills just so slave owners can rent our own bodies back to us

What it does is it makes you tired all the time

I don’ think this is really accurate, especially if someone has a low, regular intake (eg 1 cup daily with breakfast)

well “all the time” implies we’re talking about regular use, and yeah it does do other stuff that are unmitigated positives like staving off tiredness but as you say it needs to be infrequent and/or light dosing for that, not abusive daily heavy use

I’ll support anyone that wants to wean themselves off of caffeine, but I enjoy it too much. A guaranteed serotonin dose every morning is too good to pass up right now 😐

Even though work has been easier ever since I started working from home, I still find myself needing more and more caffeine despite getting 6-7 hours of sleep each work day.

If I don’t have 3 coffees or energy drinks by 1 pm I get super drowsy and need to lay down for a few hours. Then when the weekend starts I sleep for 10 hours each night and I feel tired again Monday morning.

I think I might have a few health issues… too bad I’m saving up for when my POS car inevitably breaks down.
