Really enjoying it so far! Very charming dialogue, cool implementation of turn based combat and stylish as fuck. It kind of feels like a longer, prettier, less depressing (for now, at least) Lisa: The Painful.

I’m kind of surprised with how the game is playing coy with the horror stuff. I’m 19h in and spooky shit is only beggining to ramp up.

Also, if you haven’t heard of the game and it sounds interesting, check the content warnings first.

wait that actually came out! I saw clover & sealife had contributed to it but never heard anything more. Goddamn, man. I would have still been in the throes of university when development even started.

Yeah, I’m glad I found out about it only a couple weeks before launch.

Wasn’t aware of this but I loved Lisa.

Edit: watched the trailer I’m 1000% into this

What is it about? Is it some undertale-esque thing?

It’s about a hikikomori dealing with some repressed memories through his dreams and trying to reconnect with his childhood friends before he moves out of town.

Kind of like undertale it has a lot of earthboundy flavor, with lots of weird characters in the overworld, jokes, and that weird tone that can go from whimsical, to emotional, to scary without being jarring .

They both seem to have a fuck-everything-up route as well (not entirely sure since I’m trying to avoid spoilers). So far it has none of the meta stuff undertale had though, and it plays a lot more like a traditional turn based RPG.
