Felix, Matt and Virgil were not present and shouldn’t get dragged down with them on the matter.
Not to say they never have bad takes or are never wrong on anything, but at minimum they weren’t dumb enough to defend cops/criticize ACAB and BLM at the peak of the Floyd protests.
I’m just defending the Good Bois honor and virtue.
:will-fancy: :amber:
Not
:thinky-felix: :matt: :virgil-sad:
eh im not surprised. arent they best friends with nick mullen who compared obama to a gorilla? didnt they joke about the MOVE bombing to the point that boots riley decided not to come on the show after he had previously said yes? didnt amber accuse ricky rawls of being a big scary black man when he tried to advocate for black povs to be taken into DSA;s organizing around BLM?
theyre not well read enough if they think its okay to be racist or to chill with racist people
Will & amber are always the ones with the shit takes tbh
Imagine being a leftist and defending the cops *from mean slogans.
It’s pretty hard because you can’t do both at the same time.
Edit: Fixed
Nothing they said came close to “defending the cops.”
If you’re going to criticize what some other leftist said, at least criticize what they said, not some mischaracterization of it.
So you mean he had exactly the same take as obama about slogans? I see, imperialist takes are fine when people we like do it
Except if you listen to the entire episode, they aren’t defending cops, they just say some slogans are bad strategy because they will resonate poorly with racial minorities and the working class. You can disagree, but calling it a defense of cops is BS.
Imagine being a leftist and crucifying other leftists because you heard bad gossip about them. Oh, wait, that happens all the time.
White ppl had bad take on BLM more at 11
But yes do not listen to white podcasters talk about BLM-- just won’t the same perspective or a perspective that you haven’t already heard.
