It’s all happening so fast now. I always thought we would have more time

The really scary part is that it’s not a linear process, and that makes it really hard to predict how bad things are gonna get and how soon.

Yes, that’s what the CNN article title says (but metric system is better, get over it Americans)

I agree metric is better but we have no frame of reference in our daily lives, thus the conversion is necessary for it to have any meaning.

We’re actually slightly diminishing the extremeness of the heat in constant conversion back and forth. The correct figure according to article text is exceeding 39°C, which means it’s not rounded down, so [102.2°F, 104°F) is the correct interval.

Again, it was already in the title there. Imagine being a Yankee and inserting your weird measuring system in every conversation rather than learning the worldwide one.

Remember when I made this post about the coming heat to the south? Yeah, it’s here now, 36+ degrees all over. Summer is gonna be a riot.

This September has been the hottest in Moscow (to use an example) and has crashed several 90+ years old temperature records. Heck, it’s October already, but yesterday it’s been around 20C in my city. Normally you’d expect it to be significantly colder, closer to zero
