Are you implying here that Monarchy is a bourgeois ideology? Because that doesn’t make sense. Chiefly because monarchy preceded the bourgeois’ existence. The Bourgeois capitalist revolution was actually against monarchy/aristocracy. The new class of wealthy traders and industrialists and later financiers wanted rights and respect denied by the aristocratic and monarchical norms of the time. Sure, they then turned around and implemented those very same structures with a wall-paper cover of liberal institutions and meritocratic myths, but the ideology that underlies monarchism is radically different than that which underlies bourgeois capitalism/democracy. Don’t take my word for it though, this shit gets covered in the Communist Manifesto.
From where I sit, there are material/structural similarities (with important differences too), but the underlying ideologies are radically different with Monarchy being somehow even more grotesque.
I was just speaking to The German Ideology where Marx outlines the stages of human development and shows that its only in communism that you lose the master-slave relationship. More things change the more they stay the same type of deal
