His sister also married a far right German nationalist who tried to found a German city in Paraguay in the 1887 to demonstrate the superiority of the German race. It failed at first (later succeeded), but in that initial failure he was so distraught he killed himself, resulting in the sister returning to Germany. He picked Paraguay because it was so far away from Jews.
