It always reminds me of when Ukraine posted that “Azov warriors are greasing the bullets with lard against the orcs” thing and how did you think this made you look good.
What the fuck is up with countries posting their bombings and battles on Twitter?
They are removed, there’s an sub-industry of those brand management companies that are behind the “xD so relatable” corporate twitter accounts but for countries. So there’s a “social media manager” or something that’s posting attempting to manipulate that emotions of people using morbid war footage
Rah rah rah good guys kill bad guys isn’t it awesome how good guys kill the bad guys? Look at how weak and frail the bad guys are and how easily we destroy them. Look at how the bad guys are big stupid idiots. Oh wow look at how our brave heroes are fighting the unhuman enemy! Aren’t you glad our hero survived? Empathize with them.

i guess i give too much credit to the intelligence of the military involved. it would seem there’s a lot to lose with this sort of media campaign and very fucking little to gain.
