There is a weird stereotype that it is for some reason, before I left it for being massively chud /r/redditmoment was full of people insisting that it was impossible to criticise China/Communism on reddit, fucking baffling. I think maybe they count low effort shitposts of putting “OUR [THING]” and a Soviet Flag as actual support for Communism? Fuck knows.

I’ve met plenty of chuds who are confident that blending in with communists basically consists of calling everything “OUR [THING]” and calling everyone a comrade
Which is of course ridiculous, because the correct way to blend in with communists is to call everything “the people’s [THING]”
They choose to believe that they’re being persecuted for being anticommunist/anti-Chinese because it makes them feel good. Has nothing to do with anything they’ve actually experienced.
At most there will be one or two commies getting downvoted somewhere in the comments of a post pushing absurd imperialist propaganda.
