Yeah, I think maybe we should start quarantining these struggle sessions somehow before they gain traction and snowball to the point that they consume everyone’s experience on the site.

Disagreements on policy, methods, goals, philosophy, leaders, countries, protests, consumption, rules, etc need to be debated in a civil manner. Purity tests and calling people reactionary over disagreements should be banned as a form of sectarianism. Even though these may not be conveniently labeled as part of pre-existing tendencies, this form of exclusionary discourse still divides the movement in the same way.
i haven’t really gotten too much of that vibe from them. i’ve seen a lot more punching at vegans than i’ve seen vegans punching.
it’d be neat if there was discussion but it’s mostly just insult flinging.
even in this very thread, people can’t fucking help themselves and have brought the struggle session here, too.
just killing time while working, but yeah I should probably do it somewhere else.
