I read an article in the Seattle Times about the Niger coup a few days ago. Talks about how they’re hostile to France (ostensibly presented as a bad thing, no mention of French misadventures in West Africa) and pro Russia (scary! bad!)

Some talk about how it will affect the fight against islamic insurgents as well with the absence of French troops, they talked about how attacks from insurgents increased after the coups in Mali and Burkina Faso but in typical western journalism fashion left the reader to draw their own conclusions on that

fair question, but I’m sorry that I may disappoint you in saying that I doubt any news source is (or even could be) completely unbiased. major newswire sources do try by only reporting raw facts, but even they let bias slip in when editors choose which facts to report.

A lot of the “human rights abuses” you hear about in US enemy countries are either blown completely out of proportion, fabricated entirely, or caused by the US directly via sanctions, etc. When it actually happens it’s extremely regrettable, of course, but you can’t believe everything you read on the internet. The US is very good at lying, as I hope you know by now

I’m not sure why you’d call yourself an anarchist if you support AES since that seems like it would fundamentally contradict what you’re supposed to believe in, but hey they dont seem to have any problems with anarchists being anti-China or anything over there so who am I to judge
