If you direct it to politics then yep, but it’ll suggest you tons of kids videos and music videos first.
This goes a bit deeper than their connection to America. The whole reason they were aligned with America in the first place was their mutual hatred of Iran. The Saudis HATE Iran. Coincidentally Hamas’s biggest supporter is Iran. Israel surely knows this and for similar reasons why most of the Arabian peninsula states are keeping their distance from this war.
This just makes me want Greggs.
Nah the side rows are for when you expect the lecture to be boring or unproductive and you want to leave early.
The problem isn’t LED headlights as much as it is aftermarket LED headlights not working with the reflectors intended for halogen ones. This causes them to reflect light up as well as down, making them more blinding to other drivers. A car is only intended for the type of bulb it was sold with, and changing the bulb to a different type is a serious safety hazard.
And secondly for some stupid reason the earlier model cars from American manufacturers with LED headlights used PWM to control the brightness, giving them the flickering appearance (and for many people a headache).
And the worst part is that a good LED headlight is indistinguishable from a halogen one, so there’s really no way to fix their reputation.
We also need regulations on headlight height, most of the popular big pickup trucks and SUVs have their headlights higher up than the roof of my hatchback. It’s not safe to drive when even properly installed lights are shining straight in through the windshield.
There was a viral YouTube video of doing exactly this a few years back.
I’m in China right now and frequently visit for my job. The concept of privacy in public is indeed very different but it is mostly viewed as for the public good. There are very nice cameras even in the smaller cities that track where you go and when. You will get a fine for crossing the street in Shenzhen through facial recognition. You can also pay for vending machines with your face. There are cameras on most roads with flash to track which vehicles go where and when. To someone from the US it feels incredibly different and invasive, but practically speaking if you respect the laws there is nothing to worry about.
One interesting place this extends to is police surveillance. There is much higher trust of police here than in the US and every interaction I’ve had with them has been excellent, overall far nicer than any I’ve encountered in the US. They’re monitored in public the same as everyone else after all.
So in short what you hear regarding lack of privacy is mostly true, but likely neglects the general mindset around it. Obviously for minorities who speak out against the party it’s pretty problematic, but for most who have political opinions it makes more sense to simply join the party and work within its framework. I’m always surprised how eager people are to discuss politics in China, I originally expected it would be entirely unacceptable to discuss. Also note that in many ways audio is a bigger invasion of privacy than video and we all carry microphones in our pockets at all times even in Western countries.
So now it’s just a question of how long Hungary waits to actually hold their vote.
It’s not like Trump would have done so either. It would be mostly same as things are now but likely slightly fewer rights. It sucks to need to choose between 2 bad options but there’s certainly a difference in who they would fill their administrations with so still worth voting for the less bad option imo.
