Camaron29 [he/him]
100 years of solitude, although i don’t know if the english translation is good.
Nah, it won’t happen.
First off, there are two parties in the government: Podemos, a succdem party with a GREAT Equality minister (who has been fighting several years for trans rights) and the PSOE, the Labour Party of Spain. They were about to pass a law almost equal to the current one 4 years ago, but then elections happened, they needed to form a government with Podemos, and they had to hand over the ministry.
So now they are terfs. Yes, seriously. Several prominent politicians from said party have been doing everything they can to either block the law, make it worse (less protection for trans illegal migrants) or spew nonsense on twitter. All because they lost a power struggle (or won by a less huge margin than they hoped).
Also, saying anything good about Scotland at all might be wings to the catalonian independentist movement. It wouldn’t actually, but due to reasons i’m not going to get into, the spanish conservatives and fascists have been particularly jumpy these past months regarding catalonian independence, so the government give them more ammo.
TLDR: best you can hope for is a supporting tweet by the Equality minister that mentions trans people but not Scotland specifically
Berserk has already finished for me, but i will support Mori and watch “his berserk” with interest.
I mean, i get your point but i got a little mad because it felt very “both side-ism”, specially since the Boys belongs to Amazon and that felt more likely than them being secretly based communists. There’s a difference between communists going “both sides” and liberals doing it.
Maybe my opinion will change once i watch the newer season.
I really liked the first episode, the second one was slightly worse. Let’s see how the season progresses. :meow-bounce:
