Skepticism is cool and good but what are we doing with that skepticism? People are panicking over 3 counts of allergic reactions, or stating the vaccine was rushed without understanding what was sped up, etc etc and not taking that much further. These questions/fears people have is a single google search away and seeing people in this thread double down on relying on their own limited opinions instead of being motivated to learn more is odd to see on a supposed socialist site. And if the argument ultimately boils down to “I don’t trust pharmaceutical companies” then I’d love to know how you handle the mumps or measles
So she won’t sleep with Trump supporters, and he’s not willing to lie to get laid. I flat out don’t believe this conversation happened moments before sex and it feels like an embellishment to insist “yeah I totally would’ve gotten laid, bro”
My parents took this stance with me/my siblings because they didn’t want us taking things for granted. They flat out told us Santa does not exist, it all comes from family that work hard to give the gifts, but also that kids in school believe in Santa and it is not my place to question that. I don’t want kids but if I had any then I’d go a similar route
Excuse me, I panic over incredibly mild information about the vaccine, take no steps to self educate, argue with people who try to assuage my concerns, and when push comes to shove I just cry about Big Pharma. I am NOT anti-vax 😤
Getting owned by a 5’ x 3’ flag :hahaha:

Either that place does not wipe down tables (and is a health risk) or these people ate food while ~half an inch of snow landed on everything at the table. Why would you want to do this
This. My partner works in an industry that has been devastated by the pandemic and hasn’t worked since the lockdown started, and isn’t seeking work at the moment, so in the eyes of the US gov they aren’t unemployed. A percentage of people currently on unemployment benefits would be a slightly better metric and would be a lot more than 6.7%
