Lol. The Iraq war had an approval rating of like 72% at one point and even today I would guess it’s a minority position to give a shit about the million plus we killed. We just hate that our precious troops got all blowed up.
Totally fine with this. Bernie would have never been able to accomplish anything meaningful in whatever position they would have offered and his absence from this administration just further highlights to anyone on the fence what they hopefully should have already known: the Biden administration isn’t going to fucking listen to you.

Said before and I’ll say again: the biggest “mistake” of the prequels is that they lost track of the fact that people don’t care about the events of the story, they care about how it impacts the characters. Everything about the setup of the prequels is great but the missing element is that its still not clear to a lot of people watching the story that the republic didn’t turn fascist overnight: it was already fascist before episode 3 ever even happens. The main characters just hadn’t quite realized that they were already the empire in everything but name.
Apparently the Australian government is DEPORTING them over this: which is quite frankly the most absolutely metal, hardcore, and based shit Tenacious D has ever had happen! Jack should have embraced the shit out of this and rode it.
