In the states, the problem with Amtrak is that not only has austerity ruined any chance of a meaningful country-wide rail network, we’re too busy subsidizing failed airline companies instead. Why not dump billions of dollars on a failing industry that mostly provides services to wealthy PMCs than a transportation network that the public would actually use if it were funded properly.
She’s simply not politically savvy. There was no Plan B, she was pushed on by folks who wanted to see Bernie screwed and she figured why not, these days there is no reason not to run for President. Don’t believe there ever was a strat beyond this.
I think seeing the buzz phrases “Gave me the opportunity to…” “I am excited to announce…” “Starting my [corporate] journey as…” just makes me throw up in my mouth a little at this point. No one even changes it up! Referring to the mindlessless and hollowness of today’s corporate jobs can only be called an “opportunity” under penalty of death
