If you want to organize, you can’t be bothered by the fact that people look like reactionaries, and you need to work with them nonetheless. It’s hard, there’s no two ways about it, but real world organizing means talking to people who hold truly cancerous reactionary views.

That being said, don’t be discouraged if you can’t organize your workplace, we can’t always do that. There are lots of other things, for instance find an important local issue and organize at a neighborhood or town level.

In my experience, handing out pamphlets if only useful in conjunction with talking to people, but can still have some utility.

I don’t go around saying “hi I’m a communist” but I have a red star on my hard hat, and when politics inevitably comes up, I don’t pull any punches. Had it gotten me in trouble? Sure. But I have moved a lot of lib/chud coworkers positions
