if you devalue trans people in any way, including nb people, please block me

I respectfully request that you not refer to me using slurs

Some people in this thread make me wonder how centrists and status quo defenders manage to find their way into a leftist meme forum 😂

Wrong on all accounts. It is the hierarchical system and the state that exacerbate bigotry.

But it’s not the only alternative to authoritarianism

Tell that to the people this post is about. Also, as you have mentioned, the current system allows this. The majority of people could support ICE, and it would still be inequitable and oppressive. The majority may oppose returning land to tribal control, but it is still colonization and genocide.

Only ideologies like Anarchism preclude this, since they by definition oppose such hierarchies and don’t rely on a glacially slow system that winks while people suffer.

It doesn’t matter what the majority want. Often, the majority want to harm other people. If you don’t believe me, then you haven’t heard from enough American liberals who will make batshit claims such as this being the best system in the world or that they “have no other choice” but to force oppression and genocide as long as it’s sanctioned by the law.

Clearly, this is not a good system. Never has been.

Yellow snoo probably thinks that two men holding hands is porn

These people are so sick in the head that they can’t look at a LGBT+ person without thinking filthy thoughts

YES! And not just YouTube, but any DIY site. We’re not rich, and I’ve had the bright idea occasionally that I could improvise and create some things on the cheap.

I quickly learned that every DIY community is cornered by people with a shit ton more money than I have. “To make this DIY lampshade, start by buying a lampshade a Lowe’s…” If I could afford the lampshade at Lowe’s, Carol, then I wouldn’t be trying to make my own!

No, you’re supposed to take them out for a nice dinner and then maybe a stroll on the beach at night.

Their VPN app on Linux is a pain in the ass. If you forget to close out of it before shutting down, then you have to manually reconnect to wifi, so yeah that’s not good.

I’ve not done more with their drive yet other than test it, but I can see myself using it quite a lot over time.

More support for Linux would be #1 on my Proton wishlist

Never thought I’d pay for email, but I’ve been really happy with their email, calendar, and VPN. The only service I don’t think I’ll ever use is their password manager since I prefer Bitwarden for that.

Where we live, I’d run the A/C very few days in the summer. My husband gets so uncomfortable in the heat, though.

A/C sometimes makes me feel disproportionately cold. I’m not sure why. I can be outside working in the winter, no problem, but A/C is something else entirely.

I’d been using Firefox on desktop for years and years (excluding the Macbook I had when I was working on my masters, where I used Safari).

The main reason I switched to Firefox on Android was Chrome insisted on displaying tabs in grid view, which drove me nuts. After switching, I started to learn more about privacy and concerns about corporations like Google and Microsoft exerting too much control over the internet and how we use it. Now I use Fennec on Android, and on desktop I use Firefox proper, Librewolf, and Tor, depending on what I’m doing and what level of functionality I need.

I’m also gradually migrating from Windows to Linux on my personal machines.
