I hear ya. Depends where you are and what kinda music scene you’re interacting with I suppose, it’s def not close to majority by any stretch of the imagination in my experience. There’s plenty of starving artists out here too. :shrug-outta-hecks:
It’s obviously a much easier path for the rich and well connected tho no arguing that
Just turn the amp up, it’s okay.
EDIT : Also only need one finger for drop D 😎
I love this era of Herbie Hancock. Apparently, IIRC, he had some sort of revelation in the late early 70s to start making only accessible tunes with mass appeal. Which you hear in headhunters(it’s good). But something about his Mwandishi period is so mind expanding and just awesome.
To think he already had a great run before this playing as a teenager and young man with Miles. Just wow. Anyway GOOD ass post Conrad. :fidel-salute:
https://pardoner.bandcamp.com/album/came-down-different Just a great, extremely tight, aggressive indie rock record with smart biting lyrics and ear worm hooks.
https://fiddleheadma.bandcamp.com/album/between-the-richness Just damn good post hardcore. Not my usual style but goddamn if this shit don’t slap front to back. Members of Have Heart, Basement, and others
https://sculptureclub.bandcamp.com/album/worth Good goth stuff, cuz everything Funeral Party Records puts out is bangin
Also enjoyed records from Portrayal of Guilt, Madlib, Spirit of the Beehive and some others I forget rn unfortunately and this list is already way too long
