I read once that the original plan was for the captain to be French but Patrick Stewart killed it so hard in the audition they were like fuck it, I guess he’ll be British.

But when he goes to his childhood home it is a vineyard in France, but nobody has a French accent, everyone either has a British or American accent.

Revenant is probably my favorite Trek novel, it’s the only one I know of that stars Jadzia.

The sound track to Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey and then all the artists on there- kiss, slaughter, winger, faith no more, megadeath, etc.

Did we hate the ghost fucking episode? I liked that one.

IMO 90s Star Trek is peak Trek. I can’t stand the original series but I did suffer through it for context for the rest of the franchise. It’s progressive for the 1960s, but the distance we’ve come since then makes it seem absolutely awful. I find the sound effects grating as well.

Authorized novels written in the last 25 years make Kirk much less of a smug, womanizing, drinking on the job prick than the show and movies do.

Picard, Sisko and Janeway all make up for what Kirk lacks.

It’s California, she would have been replaced by a dem.
