While it’s regrettably true that a lot of socialists states could of been a lot better in regards to LGBTQ rights, a socialist state that emerged out of a population of agitated, miserable, exploited, undereducated, deprived people is still going to be more socially progressive then materially comparable non-socialist states. It’s easy to be a paragon of moral progressive values when you exists within a privileged environment where exploitation is outsourced to invisible people far away.

It was probably too late to save the Warsaw pact and the USSR, but without Yeltsin coming to power and cracking down on the communist party, socialism would have a much better chance of recovering in Russia at least and would be in a much stronger position without going through neoliberal shock therapy. The DPRK could also be in better position today if they had a socialist Russia there to support them during the famine in the 90s.

Honestly, if there is anyone that would have any real incentive to influence US elections it’d be other bourgeoisie countries like the EU that fear being abandoned/cannibalized/sacrificed by a more nationalistic US.

It wouldn’t really consider it confusing or complicated no. There are twists in the story but it does it a pretty good job of explaining everything by the end and you will really only miss some subtlities at most.

The House in Fata Morgana has been living rent free in my head for the past month if you are into heavier/darker themes. If you get it on Steam there is a massive free patch you can look up that adds a ton of content and improvements.

Israel has a smaller population then Ohio, definitely beatable lol. Maybe not by Hamas alone but definitely by other muslim/arab countries if they only had a spine, which Hamas is serving as a role model for. Hamas disrupted Israel’s normalization of ties with countries like Saudi Arabia and gave Iran the resolve the directly attack Israel, no longer allowing Israel to keep salami slicing infinitely.
