Not really whole community, sizable chunk is now using Wayland with their own screen lockers.

Don’t forget about AGPL that basically solves this issue with GPL.

Not really sure how you got there. My experience with SteamVR on Linux is basically identical to Windows. Just plug and play.

To be honest there are basically no left wing parties in Czech. We do have KSCM which is communist party but they are becoming basically irrelevant (about 3.6% in last election and they are projected to get even less in next one). And to be honest they are not the greatest party anyway (although better then the rest). There are few neoliberal center-left parties that are quite popular Czech Pirate Party for example but they are just typical progressive social-democracy type party. And rest is basically right center-right parties.

Not really, it just needs to be non-conductive, plastic or anything else non-conductive will work.

There certainly are very useful applications for IoT. For example, at my house it regulates heating. It probably saved like 30% on my heating, with the added bonus that every room is the exact temperature I want. Of course, this is all done locally on Home Assistant. If I can at all avoid it, I don’t want any IoT device that connects to someone else’s cloud.

It is basically the same as the fact that we are calling Australia, South Korea and Japan “west”. These distinctions are almost never about geography.

I also have an account on lemmygrad, and it almost never happens. You very rarely see someone commenting from lemmy who isn’t comrade or banned soon.

I would say that is partially due to the difference in culture. The posts here are quite different from those on lemmy.
